Greetings! I am Muhammad Awais, a driven academic and researcher with a deep passion for computer science and communication systems. I hold a BS degree in Computer Science under the supervision of Prof. Dr Muhammad Ilyas from the University of Sargodha and an MS degree in Computer Science under the supervision of Prof. Dr Nadeem Javaid from COMSATS University Islamabad.
I have contributed to academia as a research associate in the Communications over Sensors Research Group at COMSATS University Islamabad. I'm currently pursuing a PhD at the School of Computing and Communications under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Qiang Ni from Lancaster University, where I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant (Courses Taught– Software development (Java), Broadband communication, Advanced communication systems, and SQL) and Assistant Dean. My dissertation focuses on "Leveraging Machine Learning for Optimal Resource Allocation in Advanced UAV Communication Systems."
I'm passionate about UAV-based future-generation wireless networks, 5G and beyond wireless communication, and artificial intelligence for wireless communication. I'm also engaged in digital twins and intelligent short-term and long-term forecasting in the Smart Grid. As an active student member IEEE, I've authored over 30 articles in technical journals and international conferences. I also serve as a Regular Reviewer for numerous ISI-indexed journals, including IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing. Additionally, I hold a best paper award certificate from an international conference, namely EIDWT 2019.
Let's connect and collaborate on cutting-edge innovations in wireless communication, machine learning, and UAV-based systems!
